Leadership Rhythm Advisory

Ongoing leadership advisory when you need clearer priorities, better decisions, and a business that depends less on your daily intervention.

Jono Heath Leadership Advisory

As a service business grows, it becomes harder to lead informally.

There are more people, more decisions, and more things competing for your attention. Delegation becomes more important, but so do clear expectations about who owns what and when a decision should come back to you.

If the way the business is led doesn't develop at the same pace, you often remain the person holding too much of it together.

Leadership Rhythm Advisory gives you a regular structure for stepping back from the day-to-day, working through the important decisions, and developing a more deliberate way of leading your business as it grows.

At a certain point, informal leadership stops being enough.

In the early stages of a business, a lot of leadership happens naturally because you know what’s going on, and everyone is working closely together.

Growth changes the picture. The team gets bigger, roles become more specialised, and there are more priorities to coordinate.

You may start noticing:

  • Decisions and issues constantly return to you for approval.
  • Priorities shift before current tasks are completed.
  • Standards are applied inconsistently across the team.
  • Difficult conversations are avoided or delayed.

The common thread is that too much of the business is still being coordinated through you.

The next stage is to make team responsibilities, priorities, and the way progress is reviewed more explicit so fewer things depend on you personally holding everything together.

A regular rhythm for stepping back, making decisions and following through.

01 - STEP BACK

Quarterly RESET

Every 90 days, we step back from the day-to-day and look at the business as a whole.

We review what has changed, identify the main constraint at that point, and narrow the next quarter down to the few priorities that matter most.

We also look at what you need to stop carrying yourself.

The result is a clear focus for the next 90 days.

02 - WORK THROUGH

Bi-Weekly Advisory

Twice each month, we work through the leadership issues that are actually in front of you.

That might include an important decision, competing priorities, unclear ownership, a difficult performance conversation, a commercial question, or something that keeps coming back to you unnecessarily.

The aim is to leave each conversation clear about what matters now, what needs to happen next, and who should own it.

03 - SENSE-CHECK

Real-Time Decision Support

Some issues arise between scheduled meetings.

Between sessions, you have direct access when you need to sense-check a decision, think through an issue, review a difficult message, or prepare for an important conversation.

It gives you an experienced second perspective when the timing matters, without having to wait for the next scheduled session.

A practical Leadership Run File

As we work together, we document useful decisions and working structures that need to become part of how your business operates.

This includes your 90-day priority map, clarified roles showing who makes the final decision, and simple ways of keeping priorities visible. This Run File grows out of the work we actually do. It becomes a practical reference point, not a folder of generic templates.

"Working with Jono helped us step back from the day-to-day mechanics and think more clearly about how we needed to lead the practice.

We had been successful as individual practitioners for a long time, but the next stage required something different. Jono helped us put more structure around how we coach, mentor and develop the practitioners around us.

The one-on-one meetings, reflection work and focus on the numbers gave us a clearer way to support each person in the team. It helped us see the shift we needed to make as leaders, not just practitioners."

Professional Fit Guarantee

The first 30 days should give you a clearer view of your priorities, the decisions ahead of you, and how you need to lead the business.

If, by the end of that first month, you don’t feel the relationship is helping you think more clearly and lead the business more effectively, we’ll end it there. There is no obligation to continue.

Practical questions about Leadership Rhythm Advisory

Do I need a formal leadership or management team?

No. The work is primarily one-on-one with you. You may have managers or other leaders in the business, but a formal leadership team is not required. What matters is that your business has reached a level of complexity where leading it informally is becoming harder than it should be.

Is this business coaching or consulting?

"Leadership advisory" is the term I use because it best describes how we work on your real business as it unfolds. I use outside perspective, commercial judgment, constructive challenge, and practical structure. We focus on helping you think through and lead your business, rather than forcing you into a set curriculum or taking over projects as an outside consultant.

What if I need a different starting point?

If you know something needs to change but are not yet clear if the bottleneck is pricing, capacity, team structure, or your own role, we should start with the Business Model Diagnostic. If the primary opportunity lies in resetting how your existing team executes tasks and works together, Team Recalibration is likely the right path. We can work this out when we first talk.

If too much of the business still depends on you, we should talk.

You don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined problem.

We can start with what's happening in your business, what keeps coming back to you unnecessarily, and what you want to change.
